Up for Air!

Wow--it's been forever since I posted, and I've even fallen off my kids' blogs.
Here's an update:

We're done with the play--and I've been wanting to post some photos of the costumes. They really turned out great, my favorite being Bill's costume. The play itself was great fun, and the kids did so well. We all ended up getting sick, though, and it took us through the middle of March to get over all the various flus and viruses that went through the family. Just in time for allergy season.
Jolygood received her driver's license. That's been a blessing in a couple of different ways: it's a relief to have her drive herself to school and activities, not to mention the occasional errand, and it's got me going to my knees in prayer a lot more! She's doing a terrific job at OC, and is loving her Japanese studies.
Snipermonkey keeps us on our toes with his activities. We were really proud of a stand that he took against an inappropriate ad in OC's newspaper. He even was invited to speak to the school's president concerning the matter. He's really been enjoying OC, perhaps a little too much, but nothing that he can't fix this quarter. He will be starting work on his Eagle Project for Boy Scouts this summer.
The other kiddos are doing fine. Maren and Lyd were received honorable mentions for the honors recital in the recent strings adjudications. Jon also is playing violin. Cat, Maren, Lyd, and Mike are still taking piano lessons.
Justin is our little ray of sunshine. What a blessing he is. He's a really good little guy (although he does give us trouble in the food department). He's starting to combine words into sentences, delighting us with what he comes up with.
Gene just finished our taxes--whew. Work has been rather stressful for him the past several weeks. If one can avoid working in the midst of a bureaucracy, one should do it--it would probably add years to one's life!
I'm doing fine. Just trying to keep up with everything in the household. I thought we were busy with little kids, but this teenager business can really wipe a person out!

Well--so much for this little update--now that I've rediscovered my password, and gotten this little note out, maybe I'll be able to show up a little more frequently.
